Summary: States that the election is now between Lincoln and Breckinridge. The Spirit urges Pennsylvanians to vote for a "Union, and not a sectional president." If Pennsylvanians "desire to see the soil of Pennsylvania made the battle field for the contending armies of the North and the South . . . then vote for Lincoln and all these things are likely to come about."
Where Will He Go?

Summary: Douglas must "stand in opposition to the Democratic Party of the Union" when he reenters the Senate after the election. Claims that Douglas cannot gain the electoral vote of any state in the Union and wonders what he will do after the election.

Summary: The straight-out ticket supporters are upset because their ticket has been withdrawn. They are especially angry because supporting the Reading Electoral Ticket puts them on the same side as the Spirit. However, some straight-outs have declared that they will back Lincoln rather than Breckinridge.
Ohio Carried by the Negroes

Summary: The Republican victory in Ohio was largely due to the fact that 14,000 blacks were allowed to vote. Claims that Douglas cannot gain the electoral vote of any state in the Union and wonders what he will do after the election.
